The Indian Air Force (IAF) has initiated the recruitment process for the AFCAT 2024 Batch, inviting applications for various posts totaling 277 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Flying Branch: Bachelor’s degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/B.Tech.
  • Aeronautical Engineering (Technical): Minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a four-year degree in Engineering/Technology.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks.
  • Accounts: B.Com with at least 60% marks.
  • NCC Special Entry (Flying): NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate.

  1. History: Indian history, freedom movement, etc.
  2. Geography: Indian and world geography.
  3. Civics: Constitution, political science.
  4. Politics: Current political events.
  5. Current Affairs: National and international events.
  6. Environment: Environmental issues.
  7. Basic Science: General scientific concepts.
  8. Defense: Indian defense systems.
  9. Art & Culture: Indian culture and heritage.
  10. Sports: Sports events and personalities.

Verbal Ability in English

  1. Comprehension: Reading passages.
  2. Error Detection: Identifying grammatical errors.
  3. Sentence Completion: Completing sentences.
  4. Synonyms: Similar words.
  5. Antonyms: Opposite words.
  6. Vocabulary: Word meanings and usage.
  7. Idioms and Phrases: Common idiomatic expressions.

Numerical Ability
